Black Market Maven

Created by Austin Galante, Jeremiah Waylon and Juan Hooks, Black Market Maven “The Guardian From Novak” is the first book in the plans for a series. The book was created in part with original music both telling the playful yet daunting Journey of three young men across America after World War Four. The book takes an interpersonal look at the relationship of the three traveling friends and members of the band Bad Fathers. “The Guardian from Novak” is written with a stark indulgence and subtle irony. Intimately unique to the lifestyle of a band, at the same time it reveals Austin Galante’s sardonic awareness of the human qualities richly similar in many people.

Austin Galante is known largely as one of the vocalist in the band Bad Fathers. Also one of the vocalists and producers of the Electro/Dubstep trio Black Market Maven, he has authored the first book “The Guardian from Novak” in the planned series. Austin also a painter, actor and photographer unfastens his seat belt and rolls down the window to liberate this gritty and subtly expressive volume.
