I have been active in the local outdoor scene, volunteering with the Guilford Land Trust and leading hikes and canoe trips for the Appalachian Mountain Club. For the past 15 years, I have led trips in the Western U.S., Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and the UK for Adventure Travel, a division of AMC.
