À propos du livre
I take a lot of projects on. What can I say, I’m pretty ADD and I need something to keep me moving forward. So, I decided to publish a book. Nothin’ fancy. Its just a photobook that documents a bunch of stuff that captured my attention over this past year. I bought a new digital camera, and some lenses, and a light kit…and…anyway, I’ve been experimenting with some new techniques with all these toys tools.
One technique is called HDRi (High Dynamic Range imaging). HDR is a method of photography that uses multiple image exposures of the same scene in a composite image. This technique allows you to capture a broader range of light than can normally be captured by the camera and creates more realistic (sometimes hyper-realistic) images.
The other technique I’ve been experimenting with is called TTV (Through The Viewfinder). It involves the use of 2 cameras to capture and image. In this case my Nikon D80 and a Kodak Duraflex II. The Duraflex is a (TLR) waist-level camera that has a square viewfinder that is aprx. 2″ x 2″. I created a cardboard black box that allows me to photograph the image being projected onto the viewfinder of the Duraflex with the D80. This gives the images a vintage look with a bit of scratches and dust and whatnots.
