Azalea's passion for art started when she took a risk to try something new and enrolled in a drawing class. That was when she discovered a talent she never knew she had and quickly developed her unique style, working with various media and techniques.

In her first poetry book, Markings on Paper, Azalea draws inspiration from her family, friends faith and a variety of deep human emotions bringing together an elite collection of her original art and poetry. Azalea's Christian faith is her motivation. She includes Bible verses to compliment her art and poetry in hopes to inspire and encourage her readers through the Word of God.

Tuli Toucan's World of Adventures is her first children's book as an illustrator which she collaborates with her sister, Lisa as the writer. Azalea has a Liberal Arts Degree with training in Art and Graphic Design as well as Child Development.
