The images in my book show people I met in that special phase of any travel, when some real mean is necessary to get our plan accomplished. Planning a travel is for many of us about half trip, while for others any travel is a complete adventure, to decide day by day. In both cases, we need to move, and to meet people moving with us. I have been always curious about the unknown people traveling with me. They are sometimes tired, sometimes hilarious, sleeping or excited.

For me, this temporary cohabitation with other passengers is an integral and interesting part of the journey, even if it is usually a very distinct part. I never had the opportunity, theoretically possible, to re-meet the passengers companions in the later stages of my travels. Being able to meet them again in the shots, makes me feel that tenderness, that empathy, which I felt in itinere.
