For those of you who don’t know, I have been working on a book for the past 9 months. This book is a historical tribute to my Mother and Father. The book is made up of the letters my Father wrote my Mother during WWII. When I started the book, I really just wanted illustrate to my Mother how much I love and respect her for all that she has done in her life. As I worked on the book, read every letter and looked through the pictures, I began to see things from an entirely different perspective. I saw my parents as teenagers finding their way, building a relationship and becoming new parents. It is that perspective that helps me understand the extraordinary gift they gave each and every one of us. The sacrifices they made as parents of such a large family were really just who they were, normal people with extraordinary hearts.
