My name is Jonas Normann. I’m a photographer based in Vejle, Denmark.



Every face tells a story. And every story is worth telling. Sidewalktalk is my way of telling stories. For me a portrait is more than just shooting a persons face and move on to the next subject. It’s about what’s behind the eyes. And it’s about connecting with the people I meet. My big passion is shooting in the streets. That’s what really keeps me alive and aware and I get to know new people everyday from every walks of life – people who under other circumstances would have never talked to me.



I also have a background in working with very troubled kids and their familys. I was a mentor for these kids for more than 5 years. Probably the 5 most important years of my life and when it comes to my photography and being a photographer and a documentarist I use this knowledge every day.
