The Lake is a photo book that looks back at the cottage that my grandfather built in the 1950s. I made it to function as a keepsake as the original structure was torn down to make way for a larger building. I wanted to preserve the feel of the old cottage in a book that could looked at while sitting in the new cottage.

Sarah Fuller

Sarah Fuller is a Winnipeg born artist who now works and lives in Banff, Alberta, Canada. She earned a BFA from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver in 2003 and has been the recipient of the Helen Pitt Award, numerous Alberta Foundation for the Arts project grants as well as a Research and Creation Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. She has exhibited her work in Canada, the United States and has been part of an artists’ residency in Reykjavik, Iceland. Her work is held in public and private collections across Canada including the Canada Council Art Bank, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and the Prince George Airport. Currently, Sarah holds the position of Photography Facilitator at The Banff Centre and teaches part-time at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
