Many years ago the author and his wife enhanced their love of Spain by spending there a honeymoon year. Renting one floor of homes in Granada, Malaga, and Sevilla, they grew close to Spanish families, and made special friends in Granada.

This is the story of how they were enriched during that year, as they studied Moorish palaces, Spanish history, and the local arts—and especially as they experienced Christmas in Granada and Holy Week and the Spring Fair in Sevilla. Their adventures brought them a deeper understanding of the Spanish and Moorish cultures, as they absorbed everything from Don Quixote to bullfighting to the legends of the Alhambra.
