I took art classes from Penny McGrath for eighteen years. I wrote this book to share my experiences with Penny and my fellow artists. It is a collection of photos and comments from me and my fellow students. Our classes with Penny were so much more than just an art class and we were truly blessed to have such a kind and warm hearted person as Penny to teach us about the world of art.

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. In 2006 I retired from the telephone company after thirty-five years of service and moved to Sunbury, Pennsylvania. I started painting when I was thirty-five and for eighteen years took art classes through Fairfax County Adult Continuing Education.
