Yemariam Abebayehu is a poet and performer. She is a University of Alberta graduate; she holds a BA in Psychology and French Language and Literature. Yemariam will be pursuing her Master of Psychology and Education in Switzerland. Yemariam's inspiration for her poetry stems from various things, such as nature and human (and personal) experiences. She hopes her work reaches as many people as possible so that it can provide comfort and inspiration. In 2020, she self-published an anthology of her poems called "Open Flame", a collection of poems that with each stage, allow emotions to be shown with no restraint, like an open flame.
