I visited Pune 12 times for this project, at one point more than 9,000 workers were on site during construction, the photographs taken during these visits started with a site covered in rice fields, eventually a few images were made at the completion of the first stage the main entrance, unfortunately the images for this book of the finished buildings are limited only to this first stage of three as that was my last visit to Pune. Our commission was for master planing, Architects concept and developed design only. All stages are now complete and fully tenanted, the town centre is open to the public and is highly successful winning several awards including India’s best shopping mall non metro in 2012. A second commission was given to provide a concept for a high quality residential development the Amanora Gateway, the initial concept ideas for this are shown on page 132 and 133 of this book.
