The suthor designed, built and cruised the 42 foot sloop "Zephyr" in the Pacific Northwest during 1978-83. In May of 1984 it was trucked to the East Coast and we moved aboard. For two years, we cruised from Maine to Grenada before returning to Florida. The adventure covered 1000 nautical miles in the Pacific Northwest waters, 7000 miles in the Atlantic and Caribbean, and 6000 miles of trucking back and forth across the United States.
