Born at 28 weeks gestation, upside down with a chord around my neck, indicated my intention to make my life challenging until I made a fresh choice. Selective mute in my pre-school years, I found expression possible with individuals who went through my radar of self protection. Education proved a mixed blessing interrupted by being a “suitcase kid”; and as I got older a place of teasing and bullying. With little confidence or self awareness my initial career was much like a game of snakes and ladders until I learned that I was creative and helpful. Extra curricular pursuits plugged my gaps in life skills I had failed to collect in my kit bag, and the love of my beloved gave me the docking station to return to, when my Non Verbal Learning Disability caused me to trip up through misunderstanding or being misunderstood, Those days get fewer and fewer as the years pass by and my expressive creative authenticity radiates.
