À propos du livre
I started to take pictures since I was 12. With an old simple camera. Since those times my attention was focused to gather spaces than people. I did everything to exclude them from my pictures. Not for a sort of early misanthropy, but for a sense of fear and agitation that often transmitted to me human's paroxysmal way of relating with other people, even with their own life. I was oppressed, and sometimes today I still feel disturbed and confused, from the chaotic screaming of people's overflowing personality. We are too much stimulated from the excess of social communications, from the acceleration of progress and from consumerism. Is not a commonplace. Is a real fact. So I found, and still find, a sort of consolation trying to catch with photography the little ordinary beauty around us. Inside the spaces of everyday life. This seems to me just like to take a breath, to have a rest in the middle of the urgent stimulation of the modern way of life. We the humans had lost introspection capability. We often escape from self reflection, from deeper feelings as we are taken by the frenzy of everyday occupations. Making these pictures for me was a way to have a time of silence, to search a sort of harmony inside the usual places I live in.

À propos du créateur
Fabio Solfanelli
Milano
I am not a professional photographer. Just a photography lover. Started to shoot, develop and print pictures when I was 12. For many years I work as video editor for the Italian public television company. Take photographs for me is just like a free therapy for my mind. In the precise moment when I push the camera button I forget about myself and in that short time I feel a deep connection with my emotions. Now I try to publish some of my works for the pleasure to have in my hands something real out of the files in the computer. Happy if someone like to get my book.
