welcome to the My page. My name is Big Gus, I was raised in La County, 100% Californian. I grew up in the streets drawing and writing on everything I saw until I realized I could make money off of this “HaHa.” I have been painting and drawing since I was a kid, airbrushing at 13 started tattooing at 14 and started tattooing professionally at 22 years of age out of Distinctive Ink tattoo in Pico Rivera. I am a fully self-taught artist, who studied and learned from watching others, I have been this way my whole life. Coming from having nothing this was the only way to teach myself these art techniques. Painting murals in the La riverbed, street corners and alleys helped out a lot. My mother also had a lot to do with my art skills for giving me a paintbrush and crayons and for not yelling at me when I wrote on the walls. I miss her dearly.
