This book is the result of my continuing fascination with otters, and follows on from my first photographic book on the elusive otter: “Britain’s Shyest Creature?”. Once you have been up close to these wonderful animals eking out an existence in the wild, then the desire to see them again can become quite addictive. In my first book, the photographs were taken in June when all my sightings were of lone otters. Subsequent visits at different times of the year have provided photographs of otter families having recently emerged after their early weeks in their holt and photographs of juveniles, around a year old who were being encouraged by their mothers to go it alone. I think the otter is mesmerising; you can be the judge. Previewing the book will provide the reader with photographs of this beautiful animal.
