We spent a week in Seoul after a trip to Uzbekistan. It just happened to be during Korea's Chuseok (Thanks Giving) festival. Because of the lunar calendar that Chuseok goes by this year conincided with other public holidays so many Koreans had 10 days off. Lots of things were closed but old palaces and some museums were open and free. Lots of Koreans were dressed in traditional clothes and people flocked to the old palaces and popular shopping and eating areas.
