The photographs in this book are mainly of coastal Maine, but there are also a few of Nova Scotia and Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada. Photographs chronicle what is happening on the water, in the water, along the water and because of the water: harbors clogged with lobster and sailing boats, fisherman with their catch, lighthouses, shoreline rock formations and coastal villages and farms. Many were taken at sunrise and sunset.
