Athirapilly Waterfall is of the most be beautiful water falls in India. It is in Kerala, one of the southern states of India. It is situated 1000 feet above sea level on the Chalakudy River at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges of the Western Ghats. Waterfall is located on the edge of the Sholayar forest ranges, just 5 km apart.

Athirapilly is a scenic combination of forests and little streams. Water falling from a height of 80 feet, this is one of the largest waterfall in the state. Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forests of the area.

The best season to visit Athirapilly Waterfall is during the monsoon, June – July and October.

An engineer officer of the Indian Army, now enjoying a retired life, in my hometown. While serving in the army, I had the very rare opportunity, for being very closely associated with the execution of Naval Dry Dock Gates at Vizag. Worked as a Senior Project Engineer for an international construction company in the Middle East from 1997 to 99. We have a non-profit charitable organization, Save A Life Foundation (SAL).
