Few places on Earth rival the climate of America's Pacific Northwest, and water drives it all: from high alpine lakes and thick gurgling streams, to hundreds of plunging waterfalls and a dramatic, moody coastline. In this book, the author follows that water from start to finish using one of the most primitive recording devices to be found: a pinhole camera. The camera and its subjects pair perfectly, for a pinhole camera is able to capture - in exposures that last from two seconds to 900 seconds - the constant, flowing, and ever-changing nature of water.
