During our years of collecting art, we have crossed the borders of dozens of states and nations. We have met artists who seek to use their experiences and their environments to make visual expressions that resonate as universal truths.

Through contact with them and the works they have created, we have attempted to transcend the boundaries of our knowledge, prejudices and awareness of the world. The pursuit has changed us and has made our lives immeasurably richer.

We have chosen the theme Crossing Borders, Crossing Boundaries to honor the creative, emotional and intellectual ground broken by these creative men and women.
