John Foster shares his compelling photographs in this mysterious book, with photographs taken over a three year period. The images are a result of numerous road trips in the deep south and other parts of the country. Religious rites, signs, abandoned buildings, people, churches, storms, graveyards, and images shot from his television set are just some of the things that weave their way into Foster’s world—sometimes strange and often dark, a point of view, Foster says, that has been with him since his childhood growing up in the south.
