‘iamBreastfeeding’ is a participatory photography project. Mothers in Lancashire, North West England, were invited to have their portrait taken while breastfeeding, in their chosen environment, 53 mothers took part. In contrast to popular representation, mothers take ownership of their communication with the audience through eye contact.
