Juno Doran is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose work explores human environments using documentary photography, sound and video. The series of images featured in this book was created while the artist was living in London with a previous boyfriend. Whilst he worked nights, she worked during the day and their everyday life is reflected in periods of unintended solitude. The self portraits mirror the reality of many London dwellers and precedes the culture of selfies later found in social media.
