‘Greylag’ explores the process of grief and the human desire to search for a trace of continued existence outside the unintelligible. Through an ambiguous parallel relational to the behaviour characteristics of animals there can be seen a similitude towards emotional response through bereavement. The ‘Greylag Goose’ used as an allegory imitates many of the same psychological and physical behaviour patterns as humans.
Exploring various locations, significant personally, yet routine in purpose within our lives, motivation was the hope of discovering a connection, evidence of continued existence outside of the familial network.
