William Denton Ray presents "Scribbler's Heart", a dairy of emotional and engaging drawings created on the iPad. His vision of strange faces and abstracted anatomy are created by sometimes flowing lines and at other times angry and quick gestures. The passion within these drawings cannot be denied and the progression of these drawings becomes evident upon further examination. Words sometimes accompany these figures and faces to suggest where his mind was at the time of creation. This is the first volume of selected drawings from 2011-2012 by William. Look for additional volumes to be released.

William Ray

William Denton Ray was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1974. Ray is a mixed media painter and illustrator working with a variety of mediums. William also works as a freelance graphic designer for a variety of clients. William attended the Columbus College of Art and Design where he focused on Ad Design. He later transferred to the Herron School of Art and Design where he concentrated on painting and drawing. He has had solo shows in Indianapolis and Boston as well as numerous group exhibitions throughout the country. William was a 2009 Stutz Residency Award Winner and has been involved in Public Art Projects within Indianapolis. His whimsical artwork has been collected throughout the United States and throughout the world including France, Australia and Canada. William enjoys spending time with his family, collecting and listening to a variety of music and drawing with his kids. William works and lives in Indianapolis.
