Born and raised in Ohio, into a bi-cultural (US/UK) literary and artistic family, Lesley Constable established herself in the Columbus, Ohio arts scene, through the 1990s, as an art critic, art gallery curator, university instructor (teaching art, art history) and as an exhibiting artist/painter. She holds two degrees from The Ohio State University (OSU) a B.A. in arts Journalism and an M.A. in Art Criticism. She is also a trained Modern Dancer. After moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, she continued to write about art, to teach (English and Poetry) and, there, rekindled her life-long passion for writing poetry. She has written hundreds of poems. She has been published in prominent journals, featured on poetry web-sites and is founder of Open Borders Poetry, an international literary small press. She is a veteran reader at scheduled poetry events and Open Microphone readings.. A dual citizen - US and UK - by birth, she currently divides her time between the US, Mexico, and the UK.
