It is a practical reference guide to Solano's nesting birds, and includes a new introduction to the county as well as updated detailed accounts for all 147 breeding species in Solano County. This atlas also describes current and historical distribution, habitat, conservation, and population trends, an introduction to the biogeography of Solano County, and individual maps for every breeding species.

Murray Berner ~ Pamela Rose Hawken

Murray Berner is a North Bay Area field ornithologist, field trip leader, and occasional teacher. He also wrote the species accounts for the Napa County BBA. When not observing the habits of the region's nesting birds, Murray follows songbird migration through the Coast Range canyons and across its ridges. ~ Pamela Rose Hawken is a retired entrepreneur, and is currently an avid bird photographer.
