Born in India, Cheryl Braganza is a Montreal artist, poet, writer, pianist and cancer survivor. A prolific painter, she has held several exhibits around the world and is very implicated in the city she loves best, Montreal. In 2015 she received an ART ACTIVISM AWARD from the Living Kindness Foundation, NY., one of three women chosen worldwide. Her collaborations with organizations that focus on human rights, in particular, women's rights, are ongoing and well recorded. She has been interviewed regularly by every major media in Canada, including CBC, CTV, GLOBAL, Radio Canada, ELAN, the Global Fund for Women, GOA TV, the Hindu etc. with images of her paintings frequently published on the front page of the Montreal Gazette and on 7 Canadian books. She is President of the Women's Art Society of Montreal and Convenor of Culture & Heritage for the National Council of Women of Canada.
