À propos du livre
The strive for perfection is persistent. Though there may be exceptions, every person wants his or her life to be without flaw, only good, unblemished, perfect. The punch line is that there’s never a singular moment that could not be better. To want complete satisfaction but never get it is both the human curse and purpose. This book is a meditation on the presence of unsatisfactory-ness, suffering, anxiety, dukkha. It is only the desire for perfection that creates the suffering of its absence; once perfection is no longer needed, it is no longer absent. Through observing, acknowledging, and then moving past the imperfections found in this book, I hope to create a lifelong practice of acceptance... but I also just want to bother Charlie.
