À propos du créateur
Born in Canada, Mali Munroe grew up on Vancouver Island. She attended Simon Fraser University where she pursued a degree in communications and then attended The Vancouver Art Therapy Institute where she studied and wrote her thesis, “Childhood Grief” which focused on the impact of grief on children as it was defined by the child. Mali spent the next five years as a therapist to children who had experienced trauma. Mali used a child centered approach to help children talk about their issues through painting, drawing and sculpting. It was during this time her father was diagnosed and then shortly thereafter passed away from cancer. Mali wrote her first book “Acceptance” seventeen years after her father passed away from cancer as a way to bring herself back from the frozen emotional isolation she had put herself in. Mali currently resides in Saskatoon where she lives with her husband and daughter.
