"New York City, Sky Scrapers and Everything" That's a line from a Stevie Wonder song. It stuck with me ever since I heard it. It must be what people say when they arrive in the big apple for the first time. Hell, the hundredth time.

NYC has many neighborhoods and little enclaves within those neighborhoods all separated and defined with distinctive monikers such as "Uptown, Midtown or Downtown". They drill down to the neighborhoods, "Midtown East or West, Financial or Garment Districts, Battery Park, East Village, Upper West or Manhattan Valley, Hell's Kitchen, West Village, Chelsea, Tribeca, etc, etc, etc.

Connected by sidewalks, bus, taxi and subway. That's the beauty of it all, the beauty that I found in NYC UpDown. It's neighborhood that's always in motion, and yet still enough to define what we see every day. Above and below.
