Doyle, an english speaker, and Paula, a spanish speaker, meet in a park and try to talk with each other. Neither can speak the language of the other, but they begin to use their movements to communicate, and to learn some words in the other’s language. This book is designed to approach foreign language learning in a more immersive, hands-on setting. It uses a real world situation to challenge children to think about language learning as an adventure into new discovery.
