This book is a response to a challenge to capture the essence of Stratford upon Avon as a living town. In it Rod has observed and recorded the 'Players' on the 'Stratford Stage' in paintings, sketches and tongue in cheek rhymes. There are the inevitable references to Shakespeare, the theatres and the River Avon, but it also looks at such ordinary daily activities as lazing in the sun, shopping, exercising, working, queuing for the bus and lots more.
