The year was 1924, airmail service began in the US and frozen food was invented by Clarence Birdseye. On the plains of Wyoming Anamae Bell Caldwell was born. A mere five years would pass and the Great Depression would begin, bringing Anamae and the family west. No one could imagine that a few years down the road another event would occur influencing Anamae’s high school years and beyond, namely WW II.
