The French island of Clipperton (10°18'N, 109°13'W) in the eastern pacific Ocean is completely isolated and unpleasant place on the earth, around 1300 km from the Mexican cosat and aroung 3200 km from Hawaii. An international group of Radioamateurs visited the atoll in May 198 and made more the 33500 contacts.
