The purpose of this booklet is to present the images I have created to display the forgotten architecture in Bristol, UK.
The images have had a meticulous and long path of development. They began as simple documentaries of old buildings, then progressed into layered images from typologies, influenced by Idris Khan's work.
The layering of images was the biggest aesthetic development which is consistent in every picture in the booklet. It implies the transience of memory and how your mind builds up a perspective of a place through faint images or fragmentations.
Each image has been carefully designed to isolate a particular feature or accentuate the appearance of the building remembered by the person that chose it. I conducted a survey to require this information.
The strongest images have been selected for their individuality from each other and overall impact.
