Hi, my name is Chad Carvalho. I am a student of Westport High school. I am 17 years of age, I am in 11th grade and I wrote a book called “Basketball Barry”. I wrote this book in my Multimedia class as a project and it came out successful. I wrote this book mainly for 3-5 year olds and hope they enjoy the book. “Basketball Barry” is about a boy who goes to a new school, a fresh start for himself. But he does not know anyone in his grade or his school. He thought the only way to get known was to become active in the school and go out for a sport. Barry signs up for basketball and then realized he didn’t have the friends he thought he would get. Barry practices hard; he gave a lot of effort in the sport and became successful afterwards. He shot a game wining basket and made it. All his hard work paid off with the attention he wanted and by getting noticed. Now the school knows who he is.
