Rug Aid in The Gambia enables non sighted and partially sighted people dignity and independence. Rug Aid teaches some of the poorest people in Africa to make hooky and proddy rugs which they sell to make a living. This photo book records the first volunteers programme, when people from England and America gave their time to work alongside and support the rug makers in a variety of ways.
