This Gilman Square station area plan provides 10 years of guidance for development and investment in the Gilman Square area of Somerville, MA. The Green Line Extension Project lead by the MBTA and MassDOT will add 7 new stations to the existing Green Line light rail system and bring over 85% of Somerville residents within a 10 minute walk of a rapid transit station once completed. Gilman Square is the third station of the extension project.
