À propos du livre
This delightful children’s story book centres on the adventures of Micky the Mackerel - a naughty fish who lives in the fishing harbour of Brixham in south-west England. The tales were devised and told to the children and grandchildren of John Milne as bedtime stories over a 30 year period. They have stood the test of time well. Each of the five stories contain a clear moral theme for young children about being good and aware of dangers. Micky is the naughtiest fish of all but ends up being a hero. Parents can read the book to young children or it can be enjoyed independently by readers aged 7-10.

I have taught children aged 5 - 18 in many different settings and countries including England, Singapore, Egypt, Kenya and Australia. Whatever the nationality of the children, a good story can still absorb and capture their imagination despite the compelling attractions of film, TV and other media. My first effort at self-publication is in fact, written by my father-in-law, John Milne who passed away in 2007. He was a great story-teller and 'Micky the Mackerel' is published in honour of him.
