‘KALEIDOSCOPICITY’ is my own, slightly quirky and unusual vision of Newcastle upon Tyne. There are literally hundreds of books for sale displaying some of the best contemporary photographs of Newcastle and surrounding areas available. I know because I own quite a few of them and I knew I couldn’t compete with them, nor did I want too, my idea was to produce something distinctive and a bit unorthodox using basic image software.
My initial thoughts were concerned with trying to get people living there, or visiting Newcastle, to raise their heads above street level, without causing too many accidents of course, and take in characteristics of the city they never knew existed, or if they did, show them a new perspective of those aspects.
