The author is a 10 yr old boy with ADHD/ADD. After 5 years in public school's special education classes, he was reading and writing at a 1st grade level. In February of 2013 he was removed from the public school system and enrolled in a Washington State online school. By November 2013, when this book was written he had advanced almost to a 4th grade level. This book was written as part of a Writing Skills class and he is very proud of his abilities and what he has learned so far. This book is a celebration of his tenacity and the fact that no matter how far the public school system beat him down or made him feel inadequate, this kid never gave up.
