This is a chronological photo documentary of a 3 story custom circular staircase built by a single craftsman (Roderick Smith, Roderick Smith Design Build) for a massive home renovation in San Francisco. The knowledge, design capacity, multiple skill sets required, and craftsmanship are a dying art form.
