I suppose you could say I am biased: As a Swiss, I think Switzerland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world: In a relatively small land, there is an amazingly rich diversity of landscape, culture and language.

This is already my fourth book of images of Switzerland (following on from “Panorama Switzerland”, “Impressions of Switzerland” and “Switzerland - A Different Take”).

For this book, I have returned to presenting more photo-realistic images but I have experimented with some artistic renditions, especially smitten as I am by the “HDR Picture” mode available on my Sony cameras.

Once again, this project has been a great opportunity for me to combine my favourite pastimes of mountain hiking and photography and all photos were shot during 2013 and mostly during July when the weather was extraordinarily good.
