An anthology of poetry by three young women, from three generations of the same family writing at different periods of the twentieth century. Their poetry was originally written in diaries as a private expression of their hopes, fears and dreams. This collection illustrates how they movingly express common themes of young adulthood: identity, relationship, meaning, loss and hope for the future. It is illustrated throughout with photographs.

About the Authors:
Janet Drake wrote poetry during the 2nd WW, reflecting on its devastating impact, yet celebrating the beauty of nature. She later became a primary school teacher. She died in 2010.
Sara Procter wrote predominantly during the 1970s. Trained as a dancer, she later became a counsellor/psychotherapist. She is now developing her skills as a photographer.
Emily Marsh wrote mostly during the 1990s. She holds a degree in Music and is a singer/songwriter.
Sara and her daughter Emily are the editors of this anthology, which is dedicated to our mother/grandmother Janet.
