For the past ten years, I have photographed extensively along fifty miles of the California Central Coast from Point Piedras Blancas in the north to Avila Beach in the south. This book is a collection of seventy photographs carefully selected from these years of work. Accompanying the pictures are six interpretive essays that I have written as well as numerous illuminative quotations from artists and photographers.
