To make this book, as a research grant, I walked the streets of Paris for a month. I was researching the famous 20th century photographer Eugene Atget who photographed Paris extensively. I wanted to locate as many of the places he photographed as I could and make my own pictures in those spots. I did not want my photos to look exactly like his, but to be my own work, and, maybe, echo his. This book shows a comparison between his photos and mine.
