Roberto C. Madruga was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Throughout his life, he has been fixated with modern art, mythology, photography and technology. After a bout of meningitis that almost killed him in 2009 and then undergoing two brain surgeries in 2010, he moved to Brooklyn with his wife and their two cats to pursue a career in art. He has photographed for the Smithsonian, Northern Virginia Magazine and a plethora of different websites and 'zines.
